Shed Guidelines
Parkside General Shed Guidelines
All owners of Lots within Parkside Neighborhood Association are strictly required by the Declaration of Protective Covenants for Parkside Neighborhood Association (“Declaration”) to obtain the prior written consent of the ARB (Architectural Review Board) before installing any storage shed or similar type structure upon a Lot.
All applications to the Board should include plans and specifications showing at least the nature, kind, shape, height, materials, and location prior to construction. The ARB is providing the following set of guidelines, which are intended as guidelines only, to assist owners within the Parkside Neighborhood Community in determining the appropriate type, size, and location of proposed outbuildings:
In most cases, storage buildings will only be approved for homes with front entry garages and fenced back yards.
No outbuilding shall be larger than 12’ X 12’, and no higher than 7’ high at wall.
Siding materials will be the same as that on the house – no metal, aluminum or vinyl siding allowed.
All roofs must be shingled and have a pitch consistent with the house. Shingles must match those on the house.
All outbuilding colors must match the homeowner’s house colors.
Owner cannot store anything around the outside of the building – only inside.
Outbuilding must be placed in back yard in the least conspicuous location of view from the street.
