Newnan Lakes & Madison Park
Newnan, Georgia
Welcome to the official Newnan Lakes and Madison Park communities shared Neighborhood Association website.
Speeding: We have received several complaints about excessive speed and reckless driving throughout the neighborhood. Many of you have asked your HOA boards to implement various speed mitigation items, including speed bumps. The HOA cannot alter or impede a city street as the roads are not governed and maintained by the HOA, so your concerns were escalated to the City of Newnan and the Newnan Police Department. To justify whether resources were needed to be spent in our community, a study was conducted, and it was determined that our community is considered low volume, and excess speed did not exceed the 85th percentile (10MPH over speed limit) required for speed bumps, ticketing, and other mitigation strategies. You can view the reports for Newnan Lakes Blvd, Newnan Lakes Drive, and Cliffhaven Circle HERE. After continued pressure, the City did agree to order and install playground warning signs, but that is all. Please do your part and slow down, watch for children at bus stops and play areas, and keep your eyes up and away from your phones.
Street Parking: Hey everyone, if you can, please try and reduce parking on the streets as much as possible. We've had several reported near misses due to blind spots and notification that the trash collectors may refuse pick up if vehicles are too close. Let's be courteous to our neighbors and keep the community safe. Thank you!
Like what you see? Something missing? Did your kiddo make the honor roll? Want to promote your garage sale, book club, or business? Let us know and get featured. Send us your feedback, we'd love to hear from you!
NOTICE: PLEASE DO NOT LET PEOPLE YOU DO NOT KNOW THROUGH THE POOL GATE
We’ve had multiple reports of groups of teens being granted access to our pool by residents opening the gates for them. I've personally checked for key cards, kicked groups out for not having a pool key, and threatened to call the police. None of these people were residents of our neighborhood.
I know you want to be helpful, but there is probably a reason why someone doesn't have a pool key. If there is a mix-up, please have them call the number on the signs posted on the entrances to have HomeLink resolve it.

We wanted to let you know that we won't have a pool monitor on duty. We kindly ask that you don't prop open any doors or let strangers in through the gate without a key. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, contact HomeLinks or call the police. We have cameras in place, so don't worry; we'll keep an eye out for anything suspicious. At the end of the day, we're all neighbors here, so let's do our best to be good ones. Use common sense and be respectful of others. We're all in this together!
Thanks for your cooperation, and we hope you have fun!
